Here they are again...

It seems that bloggers just can't get enough of the Ashish for Top Shop wedges...

Check out LA blogger Taghrid Chaaban rocking the leopard print wedges here in NYC.  Photo courtesy of Jak & Jil Blog.

Then again on her own blog, Tagrid,  Love this shot!

Both the leopard and zebra wedges are still available at Top Shop.  Grab 'em before they're gone.

Movember Finale

The idea of Movember is simple: raise awareness of men’s health issues during the month of November by using one of the most macho of all symbols, the moustache, sort of like the pink ribbon during October.  The moustache has particular resonance because macho is just one of the reasons men don’t go to the doctor (studies find men who identify as traditionally masculine are 50% less likely to go the doctor than other men, who aren’t very likely to go to the doctor to begin with).

At W29, men are one of the things we love the most, so we’re celebrating Movember by asking four of our favorite photographers – Alisa ConnanEllinor StigleJakob Axelman, and Will Sanders – to show what Movember means to them. Their portraits feature their own interpretations of the moustache, some inspired by the moustache necklaces of one of our own designers, Demistache, who is also a proud supporter of Movember.

Life is a Cabaret!

The inspiration for the ultra chic Rodebjer Holiday collection is Cabaret. Film director Peter Elofsson was asked to direct a film about the collection, the second of a series of artistic films commissioned by Rodebjer. The first installment, Herr Rodebjer, was strictly describing a Rodebjer mood without use of the actual garments. Elofsson's piece is more directly linked to the clothing as it was shot during the image campaign for the Holiday collection that was styled by Rebecca Palmer. The Cabaret collection video is an innovative and artistic way to present the collection and holds music by Jenny Silver and drawings by illustrator Sara Singh. The end result? A Peter Elofsson film starring Daniela Mirzac that is an intriguing and playfully mysterious minute and thirteen seconds.

Peter Elofsson is a visual artist who was born and raised in Sweden. First gaining recognition in New York for being a sought after hairstylist in the fashion world, he fell in love with film when he directed a short film for Habitual. Elofsson found film to be his perfect form of expression. Since then he has used his talents to create evocative music videos for well known bands and several other fashion films.

All in the Family

Thanksgiving is upon us, and it is a time to be with those we love and remember what we are thankful for. I will be spending it with some of my best friends, but for most it is a day spent with family. While they won't necessarily be eating turkey tomorrow in Sweden, the House of Dagmar knows the importance of family, as it is run by three loving and stylish sisters. The Swedish brand has been quite the center of attention lately for its success and expansion into the UK market. Drapers and Vogue UK are certainly excited about it.

Kristina Tjäder, Karin Söderlind and Sofia Malm started House of Dagmar five years ago and named the label after their inspirational and loving grandmother, whom they call the brand's muse. Equivalent of femininity, humour and quality, Dagmar has grown immensely since its first small knitwear collection of 10 pieces. Lovers of the brand can now buy their Dagmar in over 150 stores across 16 different countries.

One of my favorite looks from the AW09 Dagmar collection:

Alva Cardigan available at Hampden Clothing
Selma Skirt available at Revolve Clothing

Happy Thanksgiving!
